“Never hit the snooze button”. That was Leslie’s strategy on surviving her two am alarm for 21 years so to wake up South Texas with a warm smile on “News 4 San Antonio Today”. In addition, Leslie served as host and correspondent for the lifestyle show' "San Antonio Living" for 15 years. Her reporting ranged greatly from political elections to hurricanes to movie premieres to the Olympics. Her assignments have taken her across the US, Mexico and Europe. She's interviewed presidents, A list actors, CEOs and visionaries but her favorite story to tell is one demonstrating the resilience of the human spirit. She has been bestowed a Gracie Award for her medical reporting, appeared in numerous magazine articles, voted as being a part of one of the most watched news teams and recognized by national non-profits for her volunteerism. Prior to her decades at WOAI-TV, the NBC affiliate in San Antonio, she worked at WBBH-TV NBC in Ft Myers, Florida and for KAMC and KLBK in Lubbock, Texas.
Leslie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Government. She is currently studying stocks and options trading and real estate. Her biggest and proudest accomplishment is being a mom and mentor to daughters, Bailey and Tabitha.
