My Reinvention

“My Reinvention” appeared in my mind as I tried to grapple with my contract not being renewed, essentially ending an almost 30-year career as a television news broadcaster. However, I knew I still had a voice to use and stories to tell. I just didn’t know HOW to do that as I left News 4 San Antonio and my work family on my 21^st anniversary back in June.

Beginning with my daughters optimistically saying, “Mom, this is your chance to do what you want and to not be tired all the time!” Of course, they were referring to my grueling schedule of waking up at 2 am for more than two decades to anchor News 4 San Antonio Today, San Antonio Living and News 4 San Antonio at Noon. But that crazy schedule allowed me to be a hands-on, dedicated working mom! And, I loved it! And, I am so grateful for that combination! I would joke I was a full-time career woman and stay-at-home mom!

Although, I was not ready for it to end, I am now excitedly moving on to my next step!

In addition to launching “Living Your Best Life with Leslie”, I have established Leslie Bohl Media LLC. Getting to this point has been quite a journey! Over the summer, I met with more than a dozen entrepreneurs, and business owners for advice. What I got was lots of wisdom, and encouragement! Both so desperately needed! I realized I wanted to take the best part of my broadcasting career: interviewing, writing and creating stories using words, videos and pictures and continue it on a different platform: a digital one!

“Living Your Best Life with Leslie” shares news and information about health, wellness, beauty and lifestyle. Through Leslie Bohl Media LLC I am a media consultant. (That’s my broad title for I do just about everything!) I am a media coach, public speaker, emcee, brand ambassador, writer, marketer, voiceover talent and influencer. It is a humble start with much more to come. I am thankful to God, my parents, my daughters, friends, viewers, the business community and mentors who have helped me through this challenging transition!
