First, we had Black Friday, then, Cyber Monday and now it’s Giving Tuesday! You may be wondering, what is Giving Tuesday?
According to GivingTuesday.org, it is a day that encourages people to do good! It’s that simple! It started in 2012 and has grown into a global movement! It’s meant to inspire people to give any way they can. For some, that is through a financial gift, for others, it’s a time help others through actions or kindness.
I work with an incredible non-profit SJRC Texas which cares 24/7 for children who are abandoned, neglected and abused in the Greater San Antonio area. SJRC Texas also helps reunite families when they are ready and create new families though its foster-to-adopt program. In addition, SJRC Texas has free resources for parents called the Parents as Teachers program. In addition, it is also a haven for pregnant and parenting teen mothers.
If you are looking for a way to celebrate generosity today on Giving Tuesday or any day, please consider helping SJRC Texas. I have attached some suggestions from SJRC Texas along with 2020 highlights! Yes, highlights, despite the pandemic!
SJRC Texas is participating in Giving Tuesday today, the global day of unity and giving. We have been able to provide healing and hope in the lives of hundreds of youth and children affected by abuse and neglect, all because of YOU! Read some of our 2020 highlights below:
We are so grateful for your continued support during these unprecedented times. If you would like join the movement, here are a few ways you can do so:
